Industrial Chemicals and Specialty Materials
Ars Chemica supplies products for treatment, purification, manufacturing, separation and filtration. Availability, specifications and minimum quantities vary because chemicals refuse to organise themselves.
Iron Oxide and Iron-Based Media
We supply iron oxide and iron oxyhydroxide for hydrogen sulphide removal, gas treatment, biogas, renewable natural gas and environmental applications. Products may be available as powders, granules, pellets or supported reactive media.
Custom options can include controlled particle size, stronger binders, reduced dust and specialised packaging. For H₂S applications, we review flow, concentration, pressure, temperature, moisture and vessel dimensions.
The right media can make sulphur treatment straightforward. The wrong media can make it a surprisingly expensive science project.
Activated Carbon and Adsorbents
Activated carbon is available in powdered, granular, pelletised and impregnated forms. It is used for water treatment, air purification, vapour treatment, odour control and contaminant removal.
We also supply activated alumina and silica gel for drying, purification and moisture control. Specialty grades may be available for unusual operating conditions.
Molecular Sieves and Resins
Molecular sieves are used for drying, purification and selective separation. Common grades include 3A, 4A, 5A, 13X and specialty zeolites.
Ion-exchange resins support water softening, demineralisation, metals recovery and chemical separation. Available categories include cation, anion, mixed-bed, chelating and specialty adsorption resins.
Treatment Chemicals
Products may include ferric chloride, ferrous sulphate, aluminium sulphate, magnesium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. We also supply flocculants, coagulants, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors and defoamers.
Acids and alkalis may include sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid. Concentrations, grades and packaging depend on the application.
Filtration and Mineral Products
Filtration media may include anthracite, garnet, silica sand, activated carbon and ceramic media. The vessel may look impressive, but the material inside still has to do the work.
Pigments and fillers may include iron oxide pigments, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, silica and talc. These products support coatings, plastics, concrete, rubber and construction materials.
